Creator agreement
Draft updated October 2026
This is the agreement between you, the creator, and Fondi when you accept early payment on an invoice. We’ve written it to be read.
1. Fondi buys your invoice
When you tap “Get paid now”, you sell that invoice to Fondi. It is a purchase of your invoice — not borrowing. You don’t make repayments, and nothing grows over time. The brand then owes Fondi instead of you.
2. The price
Fondi pays you the invoice amount minus a 5% fee. On a $1,000.00 invoice you receive $950.00 and the fee is $50.00. The fee is fixed when you accept and does not change, however long the brand takes.
3. If the brand pays late or doesn’t pay
That’s Fondi’s risk, not yours. You keep your early payment if the brand simply pays late or doesn’t pay. We won’t ask you to cover it.
4. When you would owe Fondi (recourse)
There are two exceptions where Fondi can recover the early payment from you, including from your future Fondi balance:
- Fraud — the invoice wasn’t real, was inflated, or was already paid or sold to someone else.
- Undelivered work — the brand disputes because the work on the invoice wasn’t delivered as agreed, and our review agrees.
If a brand raises a dispute, we’ll tell you, show you what they said, and give you a chance to respond before we decide.
5. What you confirm when you submit an invoice
- The work is done (or will be done as the invoice describes) and the amount is what the brand agreed to.
- You haven’t been paid for it and haven’t sold it to anyone else.
- The brand contact on the invoice is real and works for the brand.
6. Payments after the sale
If the brand pays you directly after you’ve been paid early, forward that payment to Fondi within 5 business days.
7. Review
Early payment is subject to review and we can decline any invoice. Declining doesn’t affect invoices you’ve already been paid for.
